About the Exhibition

In his silver gelatin prints in this exhibition, John Davies concentrated on investigating the modern landscape as it has evolved from natural to industrial environments.  Although this work is informed by documentary photography, the images are not exclusively “objective,” but seek to capture the “edge” between the urban and rural aspects of once open spaces revealing development both in and out of harmony with the natural environment.
