Duane Powell has been a fixture on the music scene since the mid-1980’s, starting with his work on the burgeoning house music scene in Chicago. Since then, he has gone on to headline and hold residencies at many of Chicago’s most popular venues and national music festivals and has been invited to speak about his knowledge of the music scene at conferences nationwide.
This program accompanies Shift: Music, Meaning, Context, an exhibition produced in collaboration between Goethe-Institut Chicago and Museum of Contemporary Photography.
