Penelope Umbrico uses traditional photographic techniques to explore the production and consumption of images in a post-internet age. In many of her works, Umbrico appropriates found images from sources such as mail order catalogs, brochures, Instagram and eBay, and alters them in ways that obscure the techniques used in their construction.
